In 1911, Eugene Blum and his wife Alice opened a watch factory in the Swiss town of Chaux-de Fonds. The named it EBEL. In 1914 Ebel won a Gold Medal at the country's first National Exhibition of this century. Ebel have always had a close assocition with major sports events, especially golf & tennis. ( Davis Cup, Ryder Cup, Ebel European Masters in Crans-Montana).
